Lost Password.
If you have lost your password, click on the lost password button in the “my listings” section. Enter your email address you signed up with. A temporary password will be emailed to you instantly. Once into “my listings” you must click on “edit personal info” and change password.
Making Changes To Listing.
The only changes allowed to be made to listing is changing email, phone number, cell phone number “for text messages”, physical address, password, or cancel specific counties, or complete listing. If you want to add new services or states, you must start a new listing. Just login to “my listings” and click new listing.
Payments
There is no cost to use LaborTrader.com, no payment required.
Services (Displayed Information)
You are required to choose a service. If you are going to trade labor, you must choose the “trade labor for labor” category. It does not matter what service you will provide or trade for, “trade labor for labor” is the universal category. You can list your service and all interested trades in the “about my service” section. What if I want to list more than one service? If you are going to list more than one service you must have more than one listing, just login into “my listings” and click new listing. One service per listing. What if I want to list my service in more than one state? You will need to login to “my listing” and click the “new listing” button. My service is not a choice in the LaborTrader.com categories? If your service is not a choice in our current categories, please send an email to info@labortrader.com
we will add your service to the category ASAP.
Type of Provider (Displayed Information)
You are required to choose the type of provider you are. Freelance or Business, this will be displayed on the top of your listing.
Name-Doing Business As (Displayed Information)
You are required to choose a name that will be displayed on you listing. The name can be a business name, personal name, screen name, etc.
Address (Displayed Information)
Your address is not required for display. If your service takes place at a permanent location it would be good to display in listing. Customers might want to know the location and in turn create more business.
Location (Displayed Information)
You are required to choose where service will be performed. You are able to choose My location, Your Location, or Either Your or my Location. A piano teacher that only teaches in their home would want to choose My Location. A plumber would obviously choose Your Location, and an Attorney might choose Either Your or my Location.
About My Service (Displayed Information)
You are required to list some information describing your service. List any information customers would like to see. Years of experience, references available, etc.
Billing & Average Cost/Hourly Rate (Displayed Information)
You are required to list your billing method, Hourly, Half Hour, By the Job, and Percentage. Also need to list your average rate. An Electrician might list $40/hour, a Wedding DJ might list $500/Night, an Attorney might list $40/half hour, and a Realtor might list %6.5.
Website (Displayed Information)
Not required, but If you have a website for your service, you can have site available for customers. Your website will be a hyperlink and be displayed in your listing. From your listing customers can click on and immediately get more information about your service.
Contact By (Displayed Information)
You are required to have at least an email, phone, or cell phone number for receiving text messages. You are able to have one, two, or all three forms of communication. Your email address and cell phone number “for text messages” will be hidden. Customers will click on email or text, and fill out a form that includes their name, email or phone, and message. The message will be sent through LaborTrader.com, your email and cell phone will remain private. Please make sure that you are receiving emails and text messages from LaborTrader.com.
Talk Forums (Displayed Information)
As a Service Provider, you have access to the LaborTrader.com Industry Talk Forums. These forums are for you to communicate with other service providers in your industry. The public does not have access to this forum. This forum is private and only available to you and other service providers in your specific profession listed with LaborTrader.com. Feel free to talk about any industry issues knowing that it is private. Please always abide by the forum rules.
Service Contract & Feedback System (Highly Recommended)
- Service provider initiates service contract.
- Contract code is emailed to customer.
- Customer logs into “my contracts” using their email and contract code, customer can either accept or decline contract. Contract is read only, no changes can be made. Customer can only accept or declined.
- If and only if customer accepts contract, can feedback be left on service provider.
- Service provider is able to respond to feedback.
Step 1.
Service provider initiates contract
Service provider initiates service contract & contract code is emailed to customer. Once contract is submitted, it is locked and no changes can be made. Contract at this time can be viewed by the service provider, but will stay in a pending state until customer either accepts or declines contract. If contract is declined, it will be deleted from system.
(Service Provider’s information is automatically filled, and is not able to be changed. Service Provider chooses county of where work will be performed at top drop down box. Service Provider than enters customers full name, phone number, email address, home or work address, city, state, and zip. The date for the contract being created is automatically filled. Service Provider than explains service to be performed.)
(Service Provider fills in amount that will be charged. Will be a dollar amount or a percentage (a realtor would use a percentage). Service Provider than chooses date for when service will be performed on or by.)
(Service Provider than checks box, which states they agree to the terms of the service contract. The customers box stays in a pending state. Contract is in pending status until customer agrees by checking box. Service Provider than clicks submit, and a contract code is emailed to customer’s email.)
Step 2.
Contract code is email to customer for approval
Customer receives contract code via email. Customer logs into the “my contracts” section at LaborTrader.com using their email and contract code. Customer can accept contract(s) by checking acceptance box, stating customer agrees to the terms of the service contract. Customer may also decline. If contract is declined it is deleted from system. If accepted contract is stored for 12 months from submission, and is only able to be viewed or printed by customer and service provider.
(Customer receives contract code via email. Customer logs into “my contracts” by using their email and contract code.)
(Customer is now viewing their “my contracts” page. Showing service contract in a pending status. Customer clicks on view to review contract and either accept or decline “clicking decline will delete contract from system”.)
(Customer checks box and clicks “Agree and Submit” agreeing to the terms. The customer is now able to leave feedback on their service provider.)
Step 3.
Customer is able to leave feedback on service provider
Once contract is accepted by customer, customer is able to leave feedback on service provider. Customer can rate service provider’s price, quality, and timeliness, along with a 250 word explanation about service. Customer is kept anonymous. Customer’s personal information is not displayed nor stored by LaborTrader.com. The only information that is stored would be the contract that only the two contractual parties and LaborTrader.com have access to. It is important that the service contract & feedback system is used, this provides quality ratings of the service providers, as well securing both parties agreement.

(Customer rates Service Provider by price, quality, and timeliness. Customer is also able to leave comments. All information is displayed on the Report Card.)
Step 4.
Service provider is able to respond to customer’s feedback
Once feedback from the customer is submitted, the service provider is able to respond to feedback in 250 words or less.

Step 5.
Accepted contract is stored & able to be retrieved for 12 months
Service contract is stored in “my contracts” for 12 months from submission. Service provider and customer may view or print contract at anytime within 12 months of submission. Customers can retrieve contract by going to “my contracts” and using their email and contract code, if customer forgets their contract code, they can click lost contract code and their code will instantly be email to them. Customer will have the same contract code for all past and future contracts. LaborTrader.com the service provider & the customer are the only parties that have access to the private archived contracts. They are unable to be retrieved or viewed by any other source.
